1、 Red phosphorus is widely used in the manufacturing of matches, pesticides, military incendiary bombs, signal bombs, etc; It is also used in the production of ferrophosphate alloys and industries such as pharmaceuticals and organic raw materials. 

2、 Red phosphorus is used to dope silicon to produce more efficient semiconductors, and is often used to prepare semiconductor compounds and as a dopant and diffusion source for semiconductor materials; Synthesis of indium phosphide (InP), gallium phosphide (GaP), gallium arsenide aluminum phosphate (AlGaAsP), gallium arsenide phosphorus (InGaAsP), and gallium arsenide phosphorus (GaAsP) semiconductor compounds; It can also manufacture optical glass.

3、 Red phosphorus flame retardant can be used for flame-retardant polyols, polystyrene, polyester, nylon, polycarbonate, polyformaldehyde, epoxy resin, unsaturated resin, rubber, textiles, etc., and is particularly effective in flame retardant of oxygen-containing high polymers such as polyethylene terephthalate, polycarbonate, and phenolic resin. Compared with other phosphorus based flame retardants, red phosphorus of the same quality can produce more phosphoric acid, which can cover the surface of the flame-retardant material and accelerate dehydration and carbonization on the material surface. The formation of a liquid film and carbon layer can separate external oxygen, volatile combustibles, and heat from the internal polymer matrix, causing combustion interruption. Due to the small amount of red phosphorus used to meet the same flame retardant requirements, as well as its high melting point and poor solubility, certain physical properties of polymers flame-retarded with red phosphorus are better than those of similar polymers made with general flame retardants. The combination of red phosphorus and halogenated flame retardants can improve flame retardancy efficiency.

4、 Red phosphorus is used in the production of aluminum phosphide, phosphorus pentoxide, phosphorus trichloride, etc. It is a raw material for the production of organic phosphorus pesticides. It is also used as a pesticide and rodenticide. Raw materials for manufacturing organic phosphorus pesticides and rodenticides such as trichlorfon, methamidophos, chlorpyrifos, fenitrothion, and dichlorvos.
